A large early 19th century Louis XV style French buffet from Provence made of solid walnut. Beautiful character to the wood and fine hand-carvings of an urn and olive branches. An unusual tall size, this buffet once had a dough box (the box is missing) and has a hinged top. Interior provides ample storage, opening to a shelf with three dovetailed drawers. New lock on door with one key. The lock on the top is present, but there is no key. Pine as a secondary wood. All original with waxed patina. Circa 1800-1820. 55.5"W x 23"D x 50"H. Inside depth is 20"
