An 18th century French Louis XV bergère or armchair. Sturdy walnut frame with nice hand-carved floral details and crafted using pegged construction. Expertly reupholstered, as found, in bright yellow silk damask fabric with tufting and nailhead trim. Down seat cushion. A petite chair with comfortable seating. In very good condition for the age. Wood has some old worm holes, but not active. Waxed patina. Circa 1740-1760.
