19th Century French Terracotta Garden Tiles, Set of 12

A set of twelve 19th century French terracotta garden tiles. Very large detailed casting of cupid with foliate details and lion heads. Rare form and scale. For use as border decoration, these tiles fit closely together and have a nice old mossy patina. Each vary in condition, some with small chips. Eight of the tiles have large pieces missing from the bottom portion that embeds into the ground. On four of the tiles, the base has been sheared off. Please refer to photos for more details. Pictures are part of the description. Circa 1870-1890.

The decorative portion of each tile is 17"W x 3"D x 17"H
The overall height of each tile varies depending on how much of the 3.75" underground portion of the base remains.
