An exceptional pair of large 19th century French faience urns from Desvres, by Fourmaintraux-Freres. Beautiful hand-painted floral decoration and sculptural swan handles. Elegant form with nice proportions. In almost mint condition with the beak of one swan having been professionally restored and only noticeable upon close inspection. The monumental size of these urns is a rare find, especially with this degree of artistry. Mark on underside: F.F. Circa 1880.
